Start the day right…
This week has been a constant struggle when it comes to getting up on time. For some reason, this week I have slept through all the alarms that I have set. It has been horrible. I am the kind of person whose mood depends on a successful morning.
So, I decided that I needed a reset. Having a good night’s sleep and a stress-less morning can have a positive influence on the rest of the day.
To begin this reset I found two major factors that are essential when thinking about fixing a sleeping schedule: alarms and routines.
Having multiple alarms is very helpful. Changing the alarm tone is also very important; changing the tone every month will ensure that your body will not become immune to the same tone.
I use alarms to inform me when to get up, get out of bed, and start to get ready. Breaking up the morning into chunks will leave time for everything without added stress. I also use an alarm to remind me when to shut off electronics and when to go to bed.
The second part of the reset is having a routine. Being able to have a routine and have something to look forward to when getting up can entice the body and mind to get up on time. I usually wake up, make tea, have breakfast, watch YouTube or read a book, then begin getting ready for the day. Having that extra time in the morning allows me to prepare for the day.
Having a reset once in a while will help de-stress life and support a more productive and happy lifestyle. I hope this was helpful to any of you who are also struggling in the sleeping and morning department.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Talk to you all next week 🙂
All the Best,
